Mason Blank and Mitchell Krcelic Show Well at Will Able Invitational

COLLEFEVILLE, Pa. – Mason Blank (Lancaster, Pa. / Lampeter-Satrasburg) finished his afternoon fourth at 133 and Mitchell Krcelic (Huntington Beach, Calif. / St. Mary's International School) fell in the consolation semifinals, but was 2-2 as the rest of the Penn State Mont Alto wrestling team traveled to Ursinus College and competed in the annual Will Able Invitational on Saturday.

Blank fell to West Chester's Jake Taylor in his first match but battled back up the consolation bracket. Blank won a 12-3 major decision over Mike Coppola and earned a fall over Patrick Ammirtati. In the 3rd-place match, the freshman battled hard but fell in a 1:11 to Andrew Desousa from Oneonta State.

Krelic also battled his way through the consolation bracket, first winning a 10-4 decision over Jared Keenam as well as an 8-4 win over Wheeling Jesuit's Logan Adkins. Overall, the sophomore finished 2-2 at 149 pounds.

The wrestling team returns to action on Saturday, January 19 as it hosts the PSUMA Spring Duals. Wrestling is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
