Mitchell Krcelic Receives NCWA and USCAA All-Academic Honors

MONT ALTO, Pa. – Mitchell Krcelic (Huntington Beach, Ca. / St. Mary's International School) of the Penn State Mont Alto wrestling team was recently named to the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-Academic Team.

In order for a student-athlete to be nominated to the NCWA All-Academic Team, he must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 higher and have completed at least 2 full semesters of classes. Meanwhile, to be recognized on the USCAA National All-Academic Team all student-athletes must have 24 or more credits on their USCAA transcripts and their cumulative grade point average must be a 3.50 or greater to be eligible.

In competition, Krcelic finished his sophomore season with a 15-22 record in the 149-pound division and placed fifth in the NCWA Regional National Qualifier. He was one of four Mont Alto wrestlers who had collected 15 or more wins this season.
