The PSUAC released their Conference Awards today for Golf, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Cross Country, and Men's and Women's Soccer. Mont Alto brought home a lot of hardware as our student-athletes earned 16 of those spots.
Women's Soccer brought home 5 of those honors alone with 2 First-Team All-Conference in Kennedy Guerin and Taylor Zeiders, and 3 Second-Team in Carlee Brumgard, Rachel Asper, and Cheyenne Diller. As if that wasn't a big enough accomplishment for the first year varsity team, Guerin also earned her way to the PSUAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year.
Women's Volleyball brought home 4 awards after their strong finish in the conference tournament semi-finals. Kelsey Wetzel earned her way to the First-Team, Jenny Halterman to Second-Team, and Alyssa Booth and Hannah Geesman both earning their way on to the Honorable Mention list. The team will hear on Wednesday whether they go on to play for the USCAA National Tournament or not.
Men's Soccer came out with 3 awards having senior and dual-sport athlete Corey Meyers make his way to Second-Team, while his teammates Eric Montalvo and Daulton Hershey earned their own spots on the Honorable Mention list. Hershey had to miss the last 4 games due to an ACL tear.
Golf's Austin Green made First-Team All-Conference as well after his performance in the PSUAC Championship Tournament two weeks ago where he won the Conference Championship, and placed 3rd in the USCAA National Tournament.
Men's and Women's Cross Country found Martha Baskwill and Devan Thompson on the First-Team spots, and they will be traveling to Florida College for the USCAA National Tournament next week to continue with their already successful season.
The Mont Alto Athletics Department would like to congratulate all of our PSUAC award winners on a very strong fall season.
