MONT ATLO, Pa. – On Saturday, March 2 the Penn State Mont Alto women's soccer program hosted four local youth soccer club teams from the surrounding area for the inaugural 5v5 Girls Soccer Invitational. The event helped raise money for the women's soccer program who will be entering their fourth year of existence in the 2019 season this upcoming fall.
Throughout the day there were seven indoor matches played within the Multipurpose Activities Center (MAC) on the campus of Mont Alto using a futsal ball. HSC Freedom from Hagerstown, Md. were crowned champions of the event. The Lady Rockets finished second, Shippensburg HS placed third and Penn Express took home fourth place.
