Mont Alto records fourth straight shutout

The Penn State Mont Alto women's soccer recorded its fourth straight shutout as they defeated Penn State Hazleton 7-0 on Friday evening, clinching a perfect conference season. Avery Diehl scored a team-high two goals in the winning effort. Diehl scored the game's first two tallies in the 13th and 21st minute. 

 

Lacey Daum scored 45 seconds after halftime to push the lead to 3-0. Kiaya Mouer recorded a goal in the 64th minute and Nicole Jones scored on an unassisted tally in the 76th minute to push the lead to 5-0. Defenders Grace Banfe and Rachel Merrill scored the team's last two goals to wrap up the Mont Alto scoring.

 

Avery Diehl had a team-high seven SOG while Madison Eberly and Alexis Mariano were each close behind with four a piece. Penn State Mont Alto won the shots on goal battle 29-0.
