Mont Alto falls to Brandywine

Penn State Mont Alto women's volleyball team hosted their first PSUAC match Wednesday.  Mont Alto fell to Brandywine 0-3.  The team fought hard in all three games. They gained momentum in the second game, but fell short by a couple points.

"Our girls played with a lot of heart tonight. They showed a lot of potential and played a great second set. I believe if we keep moving in this direction, we can definitely get the important wins we need this season," said coach Stremmel.

Mont Alto was led by Chandler Coldsmith (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg Area High School) who had 15 digs.  Ashlyn Blank (Chambersburg, Pa/ Shalom Christian Academy) had a team high with 6 kills.  Mary Hackney (Chambersburg, PA/St. Maria Goretti) with 2 service aces and Chai Kline (Mechanicsburg, PA/ Trinity High School) put up 4 kills and 4 blocks.

Mont Alto looks to get their first win on Friday, September 21 at 7:00 p.m. when they take on Hood College at home.
