Penn State Mont Alto Women's Volleyball team is back in full swing and ready for the 2013 season. The roster of nine consists of eight freshmen and one returning sophomore. The team is eager and full of young talent. The sophomore, Mary Hackney will provide great experience and leadership for the team full of freshmen.
This weekend the team took a trip up to State College to support the Penn State University Women's Volleyball Team and gain insight on watching a top nationally ranked volleyball program. This trip was not only a great way for the team to watch a high level of volleyball but also to bond together off the court.
Mont Alto Volleyball has a competitive schedule this season, playing several matches outside of the PSUAC including facing NCAA Division III teams. "We have a talented group of ladies that have competitive attitudes and I foresee us being top contenders in the PSUAC," Head Coach Jenn Stremmel comments.
The team takes the court for the first time September 9th at Schuylkill at 7:00 p.m. Their home opener will be Wednesday September 11th against Central Penn College at 7:00 p.m.
