Volleyball wins in three against Christendom

Volleyball wins in three against Christendom

Penn State Mont Alto's Volleyball team bounced back from their loss earlier in the week and beat Christendom in three straight sets, 25-17, 25-18, 25-12.

The team has had an impressive start to the season and now holds a 5-1 record.  Mont Alto has been led by Sarah Bortner, who was the PSUAC Volleyball Player of the Week last week, as she recorded 11 kills against Christendom.  Katie Graham was right behind her with 10.  Melissa Orlandini served well with four aces and Lacie Mosteller added another 25 assists.  Alyssa Booth led the defense with 16 digs.

"The girls pulled a solid win tonight after a long week of four games in the past five days," said Coach Stremmel.  "They were able to come together and fight back after Christendom went on some runs in the beginning of each set."

Mont Alto returns to action on their home court on Sunday, September 22nd at noon against Washington Adventist.
