Women's Volleyball dominates against Beaver and New Kensington

 

Penn State Mont Alto's Volleyball team traveled to Penn State Beaver on Saturday for two conference matches.  Mont Alto ended the day with two big wins.  They won 3 straight sets in both matches.  Mont Alto first faced Beaver winning 25-17, 25-11 and 25-15.

 

Mont Alto was led by Sarah Bortner who had six kills and seven digs.  Katie Graham and Melissa Orlandini each added six kills.  Graham and Alyssa Booth had six digs while Lacie Mosteller recorded 20 assists.

 

Mont Alto continued their winning is dominating fashion when they took on Penn State New Kensington later in the day.  They won 25-10, 25-12 and 25-13.  Mont Alto never let New Kensington gain control of the game which led to another impressive win.

 

Mosteller had another great game with 22 assists and added nine services aces.  Bortner and Booth recorded 13 and 12 digs, respectively and Graham had seven kills.

 

"Our confidence is growing on the court and that is always nice to see with a young team," Coach Stremmel comments.  "The girls pulled out two solid conference wins and were excited start their crossover weekend strong."

 

Mont Alto will travel to Penn State Fayette for two more PSUAC matches on Sunday against Fayette and Greater Allegheny.
