Volleyball Takes Two On the Road...

The Mont Alto Women's Volleyball Team was scheduled to play 4 conference matches this past weekend.  Although the girls were up for it as they hit the heart of their conference schedule, the Saturday games were unforeseeably postponed.  However, that left the 2 matches still to be played on Sunday.

Mont Alto's first opponent of the day was PSU Beaver.  With a tough first set that Mont Alto was able to pull out 25-20, they continued on to win the match 3-0.  Jenny Halterman had another strong match with 23 assists, while Dori Kozain and Melissa Orlandini had 14 and 19 total attempts respectively.

Mont Alto then had to quickly switch focus on to their next opponent of the day, PSU Greater Allegheny.  Mont Alto got stunned in the first set, losing it 25-14.  Mont Alto came back strong however to take the next 2 sets 25-15 and 25-17.

The 4th set found Mont Alto struggling again as Greater Allegheny took the set to tie the match 2-2, forcing a 5th set.  Mont Alto was not going to be denied this conference victory as they stormed back to take the 5th set 15-8.

Mont Alto's Jenny Halterman put up another 36 assits in the win, with Hannah Kauffman adding in 14 kills.
