As the PSUAC gets stronger, the teams do as well. Mont Alto and Brandywine have both proved that in their last two meetings against one another. Unfortunately for Mont Alto, Brandywine was two points better in the fifth set of last nights conference final four match up.
Brandywine took the set lead winning the first, 25-20, but Mont Alto stormed right back to take the second set and tie it up. Brandywine tried to command their home court by breaking Mont Alto's spirits in the third set beating them 25-10. Mont Alto wasn't about to give up, winning the fourth set 25-23.
As it looked like Mont Alto was about to take the match in the fifth set, as they were up 14-7 Brandywine made a run on their home floor to shcok Mont Alto, take the set 16-14, and win the match 3-2.
Although Mont Alto's Conference Championship dreams will have to wait another season they will still be waiting to get a bid to the National Tournament, and keep their season alive. Mont Alto is currently ranked #16 in the nation in the USCAA.
