Mont Alto Volleyball Lone Team to Win Every Single Match in Home Quad

Mont Alto, Pa. – Not only did the Penn State Mont Alto volleyball team revenge last seasons PSUAC Conference Finals loss to Penn State Fayette, but Mont Alto also was the lone team to win each of it's games in Saturday's quad match. Mont Alto picked up a back-and-forth five set victory over Fayette (25-21, 29-27, 24-26, 19-25, 16-4) and held strong for a 3-1 victory over Penn State New Kensington (25-19, 28-30, 25-14, 25-15) in it's only home quad of the 2017 season.

Courtney Stump (Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle Antrim) continued her strong season with a combined 36 kills, 31 digs and also served up four aces. Allison Meyers (Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle) had a game-high 18 digs for Mont Alto in the win against Fayette and followed it up eight more digs in the match with New Kensington. Senior Hannah Geesaman (Shippensburg, Pa. / St. Maria Goretti) also had a strong pair of matches with a combined 16 kills, which included a season-high 10 against PSU New Kensington. 

Katelyn Muse (Hagerstown, Md. / Boonsboro) had a combined 63 assists as the top-setter for Mont Alto and  Alexis Shaffer (Hagerstown, Md. / South Hagerstown) had 15 kills and three blocks. 

Mont Alto returns to action in another PSUAC quad match in York, Pa on Sunday, October 1. The Lions are slated to play Penn State Greater Allegheny at 12 p.m. and Penn State Beaver at 2 p.m.
