Volleyball remains undefeated in conference

Penn State Mont Alto 3, Penn State Greater Allegheny 1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-18, 25-17)

 

Penn State Mont Alto faced off against Penn State Greater Allegheny for the second time this season on Tuesday evening. Mont Alto completed the season sweep of Greater Allegheny, winning in four sets. For Penn State Mont Alto, Tuesday's win provides more cushion atop the PSUAC West Division Standings. Greater Allegheny came into Tuesday's contest a half game back of first place.

 

Kylee Gooding led Penn State Mont Alto with 13 kills. Leslie Huckle (9) and Gracie Vaughn (8) were also key on the offensive attack. Kylie Denlinger chipped in 39 assists, her second highest total during a game this season. Brooke Denlinger led the defensive effort with a team-leading 25 digs. Kylie Denlinger accumulated 16 digs, Gooding added 14 and Gabby Baughman continued her strong defensive season with 10 digs. Caroline Blickley added two blocks on the defensive end.

 

Sueriah Timsah and Alexa Martell paced the Greater Allegheny offensive efforts with ten kills each. Nicole Caballero paced the offense with a team-high 19 assists in the losing effort. Hannah Kessler led Greater Allegheny with 21 digs and Cabarello added 11. Gianna Tour had three blocks on the defensive end.
