Mackenzie Rogers Named USCAA Cross Country Runner of the Week

Norfolk, Va. - The United States Colligate Athletic Association (USCAA) announced on Tuesday that Penn State Mont Alto freshman Mackenzie Rogers (Mount Union, Pa. / Mount Union) was it's Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending on Sept. 5.

Rogers competed in the Galen Piper Alumni Open/Shippensburg XC Challenge at Shippensburg University this past Friday. The freshman began her collegiate career with a personal best time of 19:19 in the Women's 4K race.

The Mount Union, Pa. native and the rest of the women's and men's cross country teams will continue to practice in preparation of its next meet on Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Green Terror Challenge at McDaniel College.
