The Penn State Mont Alto cross country squad competed at the Penn State Scranton Invitational on Saturday afternoon. On the women's side, Sophomore Macy Carper (Sunbury, PA) finished in 2nd place behind Fayette's Josie Pindro with a time of 28:48. Freshman Samantha Sibold (Frederick, MD) finished in 10th place with a time of 40:02. 

 

On the men's side, Freshman Gabriel Brandt (Chambersburg, PA) finished in 3rd place with a time of 34:00. Sophomore Gavin Miller (Waynesboro, PA) placed 9th with a time of 36:45. Freshman Kyle Davis (Fairfield, PA) was close behind Miller netting an 11th place finish with a time of 37:49. Senior Jacob Gessaman (Waynesboro, PA) rounded out the squad finishing with a time of 45:17 and coming in 18th place. 

 

Up Next: The cross country team will take part in the Hood College Open on Saturday October 16 with a 10:00am start. The event will be held at Othello Regional Park in Knoxville, MD.
