How it happened:
The members of Penn State Mont Alto's Cross Country team took part in the PSUAC Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Fayetteville's Norlo Park. The women participated in a 6k race and the men took part in an 8k. Gabriel Brandt led the men's team with a 2nd place finish. He finished the 8k in 29:27. Fayette's Mitchell Minda won the race with a time of 28:36. Gavin Miller finished strong for Mont Alto posting a time of 31:52. Kyle Davis clocked a time of 33:44. Joel Minicozzi finished 18th with a time of 34:45. Jacob Geesaman ran a 38:05.
On the women's side, Macy Carper continued her strong season finishing 4th with a time of 26:25. Samantha Sibold finished in 11th place running a 33:46. Penn State Fayette finished in the top three spots on the women's side with Nicole Walker claiming the title, she ran a 25:26.

The cross country team will participate in the USCAA Cross Country Championships which will take place in Virginia Beach, VA on November 11 & 12.
