Baseball advances to PSUAC tournament final weekend

Game Story

  • Penn State Mont Alto put up five runs in the bottom of the second inning. Recently named PSUAC hitter of the week Brady Bigler had the clutch hit of the inning. He recorded a two RBI single to center field, scoring Brady Cullen and Jarrett Goodyear

 

  • Penn State Mont Alto tacked on another run on a Darian Mort double in the bottom of the fourth inning, plating Gavin Kissel

 

  • Nate Zimcosky put Penn State Fayette on the board with his RBI double in the top of the seventh. Fayette would score another run on a fielder's choice.

 

  • Logan Layton pitched six innings, striking out three and allowing just five hits.

Game Story

  • Cory Lehman scored Cole Breon on a RBI hit in the bottom of the first, giving Penn State DuBois a 1-0 advantage. 

 

  • Penn State DuBois scored three runs in the fifth inning. The inning was highlighted by a Tyler Yough RBI single, scoring Daniel Stauffer.

 

  • Taylor Boland earned the start for Penn State DuBois, pitching five and a third innings. Boland allowed seven hits, struck out three and didn't give a run.

 

  • Zach Garlin started for Penn State Mont Alto. He went four innings and walked six batters.
