
2025 USCAA Baseball Small College World Series: Mont Alto 5, Central Penn 4
DuBois, Pa.- Mont Alto overcame a 3-2 deficit and a 4-2 deficit late against Central Penn in the quarterfinal contest of the SCWS and scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to advance to the winner's bracket semifinals.
Down 3-0 in the fourth inning, Cameron Bailey got the scoring going for Mont Alto with a solo home run. Gavin Kissel would score the second run of the inning on a Kyle Neuendorf RBI groundout. Nic Joseph extended the Central Penn advantage back to two runs with a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning.
Down 4-2 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, Kyle Neuendorf started the inning with a triple to left field. Nick Leckert scored pinch runner Dylan Morgan on a RBI double to trim the deficit to one. Central Penn made a pitching change to face Mont Alto's leadoff batter, James Sibert. Sibert didn't waste any time in tying the game as he scored Leckert on a RBI double.
Sibert later moved to third on a passed ball. With the winning run on third with nobody out, Central Penn decided to create a force at every base by intentionally walking the next two batters to get to Carter Fogal.
Fogal would walk on four straight pitches, scoring Sibert as the games winning run.
