Men's basketball opens up conference play with a victory
Penn State Mont Alto 58, Penn State Lehigh Valley 46
Allentown, PA- Mont Alto men's basketball went up against Penn State Lehigh Valley in their first conference matchup of the season. Mont Alto came out on top with a strong performance from Veron Talla and Taralle Hayden.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Lehigh Valley jumped out to an early 7-0 lead with a three pointer from Kyle John.
-Mont Alto would answer back and take the lead 12-11 with a three pointer from Bryson Fleming.
-After the lead changing sides Veron Talla would tie up the game at 21 with a dunk.
-With 6:46 minutes left in the game Jonathan Pang made a layup to tie up the game at 33.
-Veron Talla would lead the charge in sealing the win scoring 10 of the last 25 points for Mont Alto.
Penn State Mont Alto Leaders:
Veron Talla- 20 points, 9 rebounds
Taralle Hayden- 11 points, 5 assists
Bryson Fleming- 8 points, 3 assists, 3 steals
Penn State Lehigh Valley Leaders:
CJ Santos- 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals
Nicholas Stephan- 8 points, 4 assists
Arthur "Josiah" Jones- 7 points, 4 rebounds
