Derek Null enters his second season as assistant head coach of the men's basketball program at Penn State Mont Alto in 2020-21.

Null is a 2015 graduate of Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education social studies with a minor in history. He has a master's degree from California University (Pa.) in intercollegiate athletic administration and is pursuing another master's from Cal U in administrative program for principals.

From 2015-19, Null served as the middle school coach at Waynesboro Area School for the boy’s program. He currently also coaches on the AAU circuit for the Franklin Force.
