Tom Shearer of Mont Alto earned the medalist honors today at Valley Country Club with a two over par round of 73.  Shearer took off with a back nine score of -1to lead Mont Alto to first in the tournament by 14 strokes over the next closest school in Penn State Wilkes Barre.  Mont Alto's Owen Groft was second overall on the leader board at the end of the day with a 76 that helped Mont Alto to a combined team score of only 310.

Coach Burke will now have to keep his golfer's eyes focused towards their next match on September 8th.  Mont Alto will travel to University Park to take on the rest of the PSUAC in a matchup on the White Course.
