Men's Soccer: Penn State New Kensington 6, Penn State Mont Alto 0
MONT ALTO, Pa.- Men's soccer hosted Penn State New Kensington on Sunday afternoon for its home opener. New Kensington scored four goals in the second half to take the PSUAC matchup by a final of 6-0.
Dylan Shaw assisted on a pair of goals in the first half, the first one scored by Finn Bethurum in the 13th minute and the second coming on a goal scored by Luis Negron in the 18th minute. Both teams defenses shined the rest of the half as New Kensington took a 2-0 lead into the break.
Daniel Garcia scored two second half goals for New Kensington in the 49th and 60th minute and Jayson Ireland and Thai Tran also found the back of the net as New Kensington allowed only one shot on goal in the shutout victory.
