Kirsten Dell Crowned PSUAC Pitcher of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Mont Alto's Kirsten Dell (Hanover, Pa. / New Oxford) was named the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the league office after a productive weekend in the pitching circle.

The freshman worked 13 innings, while having just a 1.08 ERA. She was nearly untouchable in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Penn State Greater Allegheny and the lone run was unearned. She racked up 10 strikeouts along the way.

Penn State Mont Alto is off to a great start to its 2021 season with a 3-1 overall record and 2-0 in the PSUAC West Division. The Nittany Lions return to action on Wednesday with a conference doubleheader slated against PSU New Kensington.
