Penn State Mont Alto women's basketball played at Penn State York for their first conference game of the season. Mont Alto had trouble matching up with the high scoring York team losing, 85-49.
Mont Alto was led by Alicia Detwiler and Ayanna Hall who scored 12 and 11 points, respectively. Aaliyah Daniels recorded nine rebounds, while Helena DeShong added eight boards.
York's top scorer, Lauren Riggleman, had the game high of 30 points, while Courtney Riggs had 18 points for York.
"I'd like to compliment York on a great night of shooting, we just did not attack the basket as well," Head Coach Donna Davis comments. "We didn't knock down our foul shots and we have to be more patient and take better care of the ball." Coach Davis also added, "Ayanna Hall and Alicia Detwiler both were strong offensively for us, both scoring in double digits."
Mont Alto returns home on Saturday, December 1st to face Penn College.
