How It Happened

Colette Salyers led Penn State Mont Alto with 17 points and seven rebounds as Penn State Mont Alto fell to Penn State DuBois in PSUAC action on Friday evening by a final of 64-58. Shanez Morales added a near double-double with eight points and 12 rebounds. Kirsten Dell had ten points on 4 of 12 shooting. 

 

Francis Milliron paced the DuBois offense with a game leading 22 points on 10 of 20 shooting. Four starters had double-digit points for DuBois as Shannon Shaw (14), Kelsey Stuart (13) and Sarah Huston (12) rounded out the scoring. 

 

The first half was the difference in the game as DuBois scored 20 points in the second quarter compared to Mont Alto's 17 and they also won the first quarter by a score of 13-10. The two teams tied the second half at 31-31.

 

Penn State Mont Alto was able to score 17 points off 19 DuBois turnovers in the losing record. The game featured five ties and two lead changes with DuBois's largest lead coming late in the second half.
