Mont Alto loses PSUAC game to Shenango 69-30

Cold shooting loomed large for Mont Alto during Saturday's conference away game against Penn State Shenango. Mont Alto shot 20.3% (12 of 59) from the field and 1 of 12 from long range as they dropped a PSUAC game to Penn State Shenango by a final of 69-30.

 

Shenango was able to capitalize off of 30 Penn State Mont Alto turnovers, scoring 27 points off turnovers. Shenango was led by a balanced attack with Aneziah Fryer (14), Shar'Da Williamson (12), MiKayla Jumper (11) and Hailee Aguinaga (10) each scoring in double-digits.

 

Colette Salyers provided four points and four rebounds in the game's first ten minutes for Mont Alto as they faced a 20-11 deficit following the games opening quarter. Williamson paced Shenango in the second quarter with a team-leading five points in the second quarter as Shenango took a 35-18 lead into the break.

 

Shenango finished off a strong second half by holding Mont Alto to under ten points in each quarter and winning the second half 34-12. Aneziah Fryer led the way for Shenango by scoring 11 of her 14 points in the second half on 4 of 6 shooting. 

 

Shanez Morales and Salyers each scored four points for Penn State Mont Alto in the second half.
