FREDRICK, Md. – The Penn State Mont Alto women's soccer team was unable to overcome a fine performance from FCC's Lindsey Brant who scored four on Saturday. The Cougars topped Mont Alto 6-0 in a non-conference road game.

Mont Alto (1-4) held strong for the first 20 plus minutes of the match with its defense sweeping away a few opportunities. In the 24th minute the Cougars went up when Alley Pick assisted on Brant's first goal of the match. She found the back of the net again four minutes later.

In the 31st minute, Jasmine Lara put the Cougars up 3-0 and Gemma Carioti punished the Nittany Lions again this time in the 42nd minute. Brant completed her hat trick in the 43rd minute as her team went into halftime up 5-0.

The Cougars scored once more in the second half and PSUMA recorded its lone shot on goal in the first half from Sarah Mackey (Norfolk, Va. / Granby). Freshman goalkeeper Greyson McKnight (Sterling, Va. / Potomac Falls) finished with 17 saves.

Mont Alto returns to action on Tuesday, September 17 with a road match at the University of Valley Forge at 2:30 p.m.
