Wilson College 5, Penn State Mont Alto 0
Chambersburg, Pa.- Mont Alto women's soccer traveled to nearby Chambersburg to take on Wilson College in non-conference action on Wednesday evening. The Phoenix defense was able to stymie the Mont Alto attack, holding them to two shots, as Mont Alto fell to 3-1 on the season following a 5-0 defeat.
The Phoenix had five different scorers in the winning effort. Both teams remained scoreless until Halley Shaffer put the home team on the board in the 28th minute on an assist from Marie Crynen. Wilson would go on to score goals in the 34th and 36th minute to take a 3-0 advantage. Atiya Jackson had the first goal and Brynn Spangenberger followed up with a goal in the 36th minute.
Gretchen Turner (46') and Cadence McMahon (62') registered the second half goals for Wilson College as they went on to defeat Mont Alto 5-0.
