Women's Soccer: Penn State Mont Alto 6, Trinity Washington 0
MONT ALTO, Pa.- Mont Alto women's soccer played host to Trinity Washington on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference matchup. Alexis Mariano and Cameron Dillow each recorded two goals and one assist in the winning effort. The Mont Alto defense protected keeper Kira Weikert clean all afternoon as she didn't see a shot attempt.
Following only two goals in the opening frame, Mont Alto responded well in the second half with four goals. Trinity Washington keeper Ziann Kurose stopped 24 of her 30 shot attempts on goal.
Noel Myers got the scoring started for Mont Alto not even two minutes in on an unassisted tally. Dillow also scored unassisted in the 32nd minute of the first half as Mont Alto led 2-0 heading into the break.
Mariano scored the next two goals for Mont Alto and Grace Lochner added a fifth goal in the 58th minute. Cameron Dillow scored on an assist from Mariano ten minutes later in the 68th minute.
Up Next: Mont Alto travels to Penn State Beaver on Saturday at 2pm for a PSUAC contest.
