Elizabethtown 3, Penn State Mont Alto 0 (19-25, 21-25, 23-25)
Penn State Mont Alto volleyball traveled to York College (Pa.) for their opening tri-match of the season on Friday evening. Elizabethtown got the best of Mont Alto in three tightly contested sets to take the first match of the season.
Shea Leber (11 kills) and Elizabeth Trella (10 kills) led the Mont Alto offense in the first match, registering 21 of the team's 29 kills. Norita Martin led the defensive efforts with nine digs. Arianna Davey was active at the net with two solo blocks.
York College (PA) 3, Penn State Mont Alto 1 (20-25, 18-25, 25-21, 21-25)
Mont Alto was able to take one set as they fell to York College (PA) three sets to one to lose both matches on Friday evening.
Trella (12) and Leber (10) led the offense in kills and Kiera Mouer and Brooklynn Sheridan each recorded 11 digs on the defensive end. Sheridan was also effective on service, recording three aces.
