Volleyball defeats Schuylkill in four sets on road
Penn State Mont Alto 3, Penn State Schuylkill 1 (25-19, 25-13, 22-25, 25-20)
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa.- The Penn State Mont Alto volleyball team went on the road to face Penn State Schuykill on Monday evening for their second conference game of the season. Mont Alto won the first two sets 25-19 and 25-13 before being setback 22-25 in the third set. Mont Alto managed to shake off the previous set to win the match 25-20 in the fourth set.
Elizabeth Trella lead the attack, recording 14 kills on 45 attack attempts. Shea Leber followed second on the team in kills with nine. Brooklynn Sheridan assisted on 36 of Mont Alto's 40 kills alongside recording 16 digs. Ashlyn Vandenbree recorded a game high 22 digs. Abigail Wagner, Arianna Davey and Elizabeth Trella lead the team in blocks recording 3 blocks each.
Mont Alto charges forward in conference play to 2-0 and 3-4 overall on the season.
