WESTMINSTER, Md. - Madison Ford (Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) competed in the Green Terror Challenge on Friday for the Penn State Mont Alto cross country and she shined in the women's 5K race.

Ford followed up on last week's performance with an eighth-place finish crossing the finish line at 24:21.71.

20 runners competed at 5,000-meter distance before lightning struck and cancelled the 3,000-meter race.

The Nittany Lions will compete at the Lancaster Bible College Charger Invitational on Saturday, September 15. Races are set to begin at 10 a.m.
