Simon Egolf Named to the 2019 USCAA Men’s Cross Country National All-Academic Team

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Sophomore Simon Egolf (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) of the Penn State Mont Alto cross country team was named to the 2019 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-Academic Team on Monday.

All student-athletes must have 24 or more credits on their USCAA transcripts and their cumulative grade point average must be a 3.50 or greater to be eligible for the recognition. A full list of the 2019 USCAA Cross Country National All-Academic Award winners can be found here.

A mechanical engineering major, Simon Egolf (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) ran his fastest time of the season at the PSUAC XC Invitational on Oct. 26. He completed the 8K race at nearby Norlo Park in a recorded time of 32.20.0.

The USCAA All-Academic Team was announced at the USCAA Championship banquet, which was held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Thursday evening with the USCAA Cross Country National Championship races occurring on November 8.
