Quintyn Flemister named USCAA and PSUAC player of the week

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced its player's of the week on Tuesday morning. Penn State Mont Alto's Quintyn Flemister earned the division two honor, following a 23 point performance Saturday afternoon. He helped lead a team acclimating two new starters into the mix to a 78-68 non-conference win over Central Penn. Flemister added five assists and four steals in the winning effort. Saturday's contest was the first for the team since December 11, when they defeated Penn State Fayette 90-82. 

 

Flemister is averaging a career-best 15.5 points per game this season, up from 13.3 two seasons ago. He is also averaging 5.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. 

 

On November 20, 2021, Flemister surpassed 1,000 career points in a road contest against Penn State York. In that contest, he also scored a season-high 26 points. 

 

The men's basketball team will be back in action with a PSUAC home contest against Penn State Hazleton, tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

 

Update 2 p.m.: Flemister has also been named the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference's player of the week.
