Men's soccer drops PSUAC contest to New Kensington 2-0

Team Records:

Penn State New Kensington 7-3, 5-1 PSUAC

Penn State Mont Alto 3-7. 1-3 PSUAC

How it happened:

  • Freshman goalkeeper Cole White came up with some fantastic saves to keep the shutout in tact throughout most of the first half. He stopped a free kick chance by Jordan Cooper in the 20th minute followed up by a header save on Jacob Guerrini two minutes later. White finished the day registering 18 saves.

  • New Kensington's Jordan Cooper would eventually find the back of the net in the 40th minute on a set-up by Jose Antonio Del Carmen Montenegro. That goal would be Cooper's 9th of the season.

  • Cooper would also give New Kensington a cushion by netting his second of the day and 10th goal of the season in 73rd minute.

  • The Mont Alto attack was paced by Bryce Kylor who registered two shots on goal, Connor Geis and Thomas Oberholzer also registered a shot on goal a piece.
