Men's soccer drops non-conference contest

Team Records:

Berkeley NJ 8-3

Penn State Mont Alto 3-9, 1-4

 

The leaders:

  • Mohamed Abdelaal accounted for four shots on goal and found the back of the net on two of them to lead Berkeley College. Alejandro Castro-Rubio assisted on two of the four goals. Dylan Jurado opened the scoring in the first minute for Berkeley. Kamil Swidan also registered three shots on goal and netted one.
  • Junior Aiyman Alsibae (Philadelphia, PA) tallied a shot on goal for Penn State Mont Alto. Freshman Brett Kauffman (Waynesboro, PA) and Sophomore Patrick Pruy (Fairfield, PA) also registered a shot on goal.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Cole White (Sewickley, PA) generated 12 saves on the day for Penn State Mont Alto. 

The story:

Dylan Jurado took the opening faceoff and got Berkeley on the board fifteen seconds into the match for a 1-0 lead. Kamil Swidan scored the second goal of the game at the 30 minute mark. Mohammed Abdelaal registered his first of two goals with five minutes remaining in the first half. He found a similar situation in the second half scoring just minutes before the final horn as he registered his second goal of the game.
