Penn State Mont Alto Men's Soccer picks up key victory over Penn State York in overtime 3-2

Penn State Mont Alto Men's Soccer team picked up a key PSUAC victory in an overtime thriller Saturday afternoon, defeating Penn State York 3-2. The victory gave Mont Alto their first conference win early on in the season. Sophomores Patrick Pruy (Fairfield, PA), Bryce Kylor (McConnellsburg, PA), and Thomas Oberholzer (Greencastle, PA) each tallied a goal. Senior Bryce Palamar (Smithsburg, MD) contributed two assists in the winning effort. Freshman goalkeeper Cole White (Sewickley, PA) stood strong in the second half, and overtime making four saves and not allowing a goal after halftime. 

Penn State York would score twice within a three-minute span early on in the first half on goals by Carlos Robles-Flores (10') and Dylan Staub (13'). Mont Alto would get on the board early in the second half on a header by Patrick Pruy in the 64th minute. Thomas Oberholzer added an unassisted goal with eight minutes remaining in regulation. The game-winning goal belonged to Bryce Kylor (99'), which came on an assist by Bryce Palamar. Mont Alto doubled Penn State York in shots 8-4. 

Penn State Mont Alto improved to 3-6 overall with a 1-2 record in the PSUAC. Their next game is on Wednesday, September 29 at home versus Penn State Brandywine. Start time is scheduled for 4:00pm following the women's match at 2:00pm.
