UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto softball have continued to roll as a pair of Nittany Lions claimed the weekly awards from the PSUAC on Tuesday as senior Brooklyn Wagner (Newville, Pa. / Big Spring) was named hitter of the week and junior Katie McCauslin (Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville) was selected as the pitcher of the week.

Wagner was able to reach base and hit safely in all eight games that she played last week to help Mont Alto go 6-2 against PSUAC West competition. Nine of her 16 hits were extra base hits, including two triples as she hit .444 across the week. The senior infielder also scored eight runs while driving in 10. She currently ranks fourth in the PSUAC with a total of 19 RBIs and is second in the conference in home runs with three so far.

Katie McCauslin (Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville had an outstanding week spinning the ball in the pitching circle finishing with an ERA of a 2.29. Across her three starts she picked up two complete game wins across 18.1 innings of work while striking out seven batters and giving up just six runs. She has really stepped up this season as PSUMA has arguably the most pitching depth in the conference as McCauslin's 2.29 ERA ranks fourth within the PSUAC.

After Monday's games against Penn State Fayette were postponed, Mont Alto is scheduled to return to action on Friday, April 16 with a road doubleheader against PSU Beaver.
