Cairn University 3, Penn State Mont Alto 0

Penn State Mont Alto women's soccer hosted Cairn University on Saturday for its home opener of the 2022 season. Cairn University scored two first half goals and an insurance goal in the 58th minute to shutout the Nittany Lions 3-0. Julia Wright, Teresa Lee and Em Kuansongtham all found the back of the net for the Highlanders. Goalkeeper Isabelle Lazor stopped all nine of her shots faced on goal. Kiaya Mouer stopped five of her eight shots on goal. 

Em Kuansongtham got the Highlanders on the board early with her tally in the 16th minute on an assist from Becca Marzinke. Julia Wright scored the second Cairn goal of the first half on an unassisted goal in the 34th minute. Teresa Lee scored Cairn's third and final goal of the game in the 58th minute on an unassisted goal. 

Nicole Jones paced the Mont Alto offensive attack with six shots on goal. Madison Eberly also recorded two shots on goal.
