The United States Collegiate Athletic Association recently announced its players of the week for the week ending February 1, 2022. Women's basketball player Mariah Martin and wrestler Nick Kostyak both earned the honor this week.

Martin helped lead the Penn State Mont Alto offense this past week, scoring 12 points on Tuesday, 15 on Friday and 16 on Saturday. Following more than a month without a game, the Penn State Mont Alto women's basketball team is 4-1 with four straight victories in their last five games. Since January 19, Martin is second on the team in scoring with 50 points. She is also second on the team in rebounding within that span, averaging 6.4 rebounds per game. 

Kostyak went 2-0 this past weekend at York College, defeating Gettysburg's Blake Silber 10-1 and York College's Garrett Butt 7-5 in the 184 pound weight class. Kostyak is currently 17-10 on the season with 7 falls. He is second on the team in wins. He is currently ranked 3rd in the latest National Collegiate Wrestling Association's standings at 184 pounds.
