PSUAC Announces Fall Award Winners

2022 Fall Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference Fall Award Winners and All-Conference Selections

Over the weekend, the PSUAC announced its fall award winners and All-Conference Selections. Four men's soccer, eight women's soccer and four volleyball players were recognized for conference awards.

 

Men's Soccer

Alex Call was named a second-team defender following his strong season leading the Penn State Mont Alto defense. On the season, Call recorded two points with one goal.

 

River Terry led the team with 28 points, ten goals and eight assists. He finished the season tied for 11th place in the conference amongst goalscorers.

 

Nathaniel Edey capped off a strong freshman campaign with 12 points on three goals and six assists. His best performance was at Williamson where he tallied a goal and an assist.

 

Women's Soccer

Grace Banfe finished off her senior campaign with a strong season helping Penn State Mont Alto to its second straight conference championship appearance. On the season she recorded three points off one goal and one assist. Penn State Mont Alto allowed only 2.7 goals per game.

Mary Miller was named the 2022 Women's Soccer Coach of the Year following an undefeated conference season. The team went 8-6 overall and clinched the #1 seed in the PSUAC playoffs.

Avery Diehl was named a first-team forward as she was second on the team in goals with eight. She currently ranks tied for fourth place in goals within the PSUAC leaders.

Lacey Daum ranked third on the team with seven goals this season to go along with two assists for 16 points. She is currently ranked tied for sixth amongst PSUAC goal scorers.

Madison Eberly is currently ranked second in the conference with nine goals. She is the team-leader in goals as well. Her 21 points have her currently ranked third amongst all leaders.

Nicole Jones has been a solid midfielder all-season long for Coach Mary Miller. Jones is currently third on the team with 24 shots on goal.

Alexis Mariano capped off her freshman campaign by finishing tied for 14th place within the conference with six points. On the season, she recorded two goals to go along with two assists.

Sydney Allison combined with Grace Banfe and Zoe Zentz to create a tough defense for Penn State Mont Alto. On the season, Allison scored one goal and was credited with two assists.

 

Volleyball

Kylie Denlinger was named the West Division Specialist of the Year following her outstanding junior season. Denlinger is currently the conference leader in assists per set at 8.82. She is also seventh in the conference with 62 service aces.  

Kylee Gooding was named a first-team All-PSUAC position player in a senior season in which she recorded 290 kills and 270 digs. She is currently second in the conference in kills and seventh in digs.

Brooke Denlinger is currently third in the PSUAC with 389 digs. Her career high in digs is 25, a number she has eclipsed on two occasions this season.

Gracie Vaughn is currently second on the team with 176 kills. Vaughn is eighth in the conference with 35 solo blocks. 

 

Golf

Darian Mort earned all-conference honors with his 6th place finish in the PSUAC/USCAA Championships. Brogan Beall was named the campus John Fritz Sportsmanship winner for golf.
