UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Mont Alto's Spencer Meyers (Greencastle, Pa. / Greencastle Antrim) has been named Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Pitcher of the Week, which was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Meyers helped Mont Alto pick up its first PSUAC win of the season on Friday, tossing seven innings in the 12-1 win over Penn State New Kensington. The sophomore hurler only gave up one earned run on five hits, while striking out a season-high nine batters.

The PSUAC leader in strikeouts with 24, Meyers also owns a respectable 3.98 ERA through 20.1 innings pitched. His ERA is seventh best in the PSUAC.

Penn State Mont Alto (5-8, 1-0 PSUAC) is slated to host Hood College for a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
