MONT ALTO, Pa. – The Penn State Mont Alto baseball team announced three of its most recent commitments for the 2019 season. Head coach Terry Clark will be tasked with replacing three graduating seniors along with several players who will move on to finish off their degrees at University Park next season.

Troy Smith a native of Hume, Va. played his high school baseball at Fauquier High School where he saw most of his playing time as a first basemen and catcher. Smith has been a three-year starter at Fauquier High and will look to continue his success on the diamond and in the classroom at Penn State Mont Alto.

Coach Clark on Smith: "Troy is a versatile player that can defensively play most all positions on the field and we feel his offensive bat skills will most certainly contribute to our team's success in 2019."

High School teammate of Smith, Cameron Lee was named All-Conference 22 First Team as a junior. A 6'1" right handed pitcher, Lee was a two-sport athlete at Fauquier High School.

Coach Clark on Lee: "We're certainly excited to have Cameron a 2017 regional Virginia HS All-American on board. We believe that he will immediately add quality depth to our pitching staff."

Spencer Seaman of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania was the most recent commitment to the PSUMA baseball team. Seaman currently plays all over the diamond for the Trojans and will be expected to do the same for Mont Alto. Another two-sport athlete, Seaman is known for his lively arm and speed on the base paths.

Coach Clark on Seaman: "Spencer is a true utility player. He's going to add quality depth in multiple areas as he's capable of pitching and catching while also proficient in playing anywhere within the infield and outfield."
