UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Four members of the Penn State Mont Alto baseball team were named to the 2018 All-Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) West Division Baseball Teams on Monday afternoon as announced by the league office.

Lowell Singer (Newville, Pa. / Big Springs), Brady Topper (Littlestown, Pa. / Littlestown), Nick Jacoby (Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg), and Jeremiah Younker (Hagerstown, Md. / Williamsport) were each honored as First Team All-PSUAC selections.

Singer, a junior, finished fifth in the PSUAC in strikeouts with 38 punch-outs and concluded the season with a 3-5 record. He posted an earned run average of 5.21 in 57.0 innings as PSUAC opponents batted only .238 off the right-hander. On March 21, Singer was selected as the PSUAC Pitcher of the Week and USCAA National Pitcher of the Week.

Brady Topper (Littlestown, Pa. / Littlestown) earned his second straight All-PSUAC designation after receiving Second Team honors last season as well as PSUAC Newcomer of the Year honors. He started all 27 games and transitioned to Mont Alto's first baseman where he batted .337 with 34 hits, which was the second-highest total on the team. The sophomore also drove in 21 runs as well as slashed a pair of home runs during the final weekend of the regular season.

Jacoby earns his second-straight All-PSUAC First Team honors and first with Mont Alto. The junior appeared as both a catcher and outfielder for PSUMA sparking the top of the lineup with 24 runs scored. Jacoby slashed .344 with six extra-base hits, drove in 25 runs and recorded three home runs against Penn State Fayette.

Jeremiah Younker (Hagerstown, Md. / Williamsport) earns his third All-PSUAC honor, accompanying awards received in 2017 and 2016. One of the premiere power hitters in the conference, Younker batted a PSUAC best .500. His 46 hits marked a career-high and were the second most in the conference and his 35 RBIs led the team. Younker collected 12 multi-hit performances and also managed 10 stolen bases.

In addition, Nathan Kulp (Carlisle, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) was named as the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award winner. Named after former PSUAC Commissioner John Fritz, the sportsmanship award is given to one player from each team in the league who best displays the core values of the league and sportsmanship to teammates and opponents throughout the season. Kulp concluded his four-year career with 13 hits and 14 RBIs.

Penn State Mont Alto finished the season with a 14-17 overall record and were 8-7 in the PSUAC.
