USCAA Recognizes Trio of Baseball Student-Athletes as All-Americans

DUBOIS, Pa. – The 2018 USCAA All-American and end of year awards were announced at the championship banquet on Sunday as Penn State Mont Alto's Jeremiah Younker (Hagerstown, Md. / Williamsport), Nick Jacoby (Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg), and Brady Topper (Littlestown, Pa. / Littlestown) were recognized on the All-American teams.

Younker, was honored as a First Team All-American for the third-straight year. The junior outfielder led the team in batting with a .500 average, had 46 hits including seven doubles, five triples and a pair of home runs. He collected 12 multi-hit performances and also managed 10 stolen bases while driving in a team-high 35 RBIs.

Both Nick Jacoby (Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) and Brady Topper (Littlestown, Pa. / Littlestown) also made it two-straight years in which each were recognized as an All-American as the pair made the Honorable Mention team.

Jacoby achieved the status with PSU Schuylkill as a sophomore and turned in a fine season for Mont Alto in 2018. Jacoby saw time behind the plate as well as in the outfield and hit .344 and collected 25 RBIs, the second-highest total on the team. The junior also stood third amongst Mont Alto players with five stolen bases in seven attempts and scored 24 runs.

Topper started all 27 games for Mont Alto where he batted .337 with 34 hits, which was the second-highest total on the team. The sophomore also drove in 21 runs as well as slashed a pair of home runs during the final weekend of the regular season.
