UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – After a year-long hiatus, several of the Penn State campuses returned to action over the weekend with Penn State Mont Alto's Matt Huston (McConnellsburg, Pa. / McConnellsburg) putting together a standout performance on the opening weekend of the 2021 season. The right-handed pitcher earned his first PSUAC Pitcher of the Week honors of his collegiate career.

Huston started the first game and quickly shook off any rust he had and cruised through 6.0 innings of work. He scattered just four hits along the way while striking out six Penn State Greater Allegheny opponents.

The Nittany Lions return to action on Wednesday with a road doubleheader slated against Penn State York who will be opening it's 2021 season. Game times are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
