MONT ALTO, Pa. – Hayden Kissel (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg Area) has been hitting the cover off the ball in recent weeks and last week was no different with the infielder having another productive week at the plate slashing .500 to earn USCAA Baseball Player of the Week Honors.

This is the first-time Kissel has received this honor during his collegiate career as he helped Mont Alto pick up four more wins to improve to a PSUAC-best 15-2 overall. Kissell's big week included nine RBIs, three doubles and a grand slam that broke the game wide open in Mont Alto's 17-3 weekend win over New Kensington.

Entering this Friday's doubleheader against Penn State Beaver the infielder is hitting .362 with 17 RBIs, five stolen bases and 13 runs scored. His batting average is fifth best as Mont Alto leads the conference hitting .316 combined.

The Nittany Lions had Tuesday's nine inning contest slated with PSU Fayette postponed due to weather but will now return to action on Friday hosting Penn State Beaver for a home doubleheader.
