Game Story:

Freshman Logan Layton got the start in game one of the doubleheader and didn't disappoint. Layton went on to strikeout 12 of 22 batters faced in route to a no hitter. Penn State Mont Alto took the lead early on a Tyler Moreland single plating Jared Pine in the first inning. Jonathan Lentvorsky added insurance runs when he cleared the bases with a double down the left field line in the home half of the third inning. Penn State Mont Alto registered six hits in game one, Lentvorsky led the offense with a 2 for 3 game.

Game Story

The bats got rolling in game two of the doubleheader as Penn State Mont Alto scored twelve runs to back up another strong start from southpaw Zach Garlin. Garlin matched Layton in game one with 12 strikeouts of his own. The two starters combined for 24 strikeouts, allowing just one hit on the day. Jarrett Goodyear started the bottom of the second inning with a two-run double, scoring Tyler Moreland and Hayden Kissel. The lineup turned over to Jared Pine, who tripled to the right center gap plating Gavin Kissel. Brady Bigler and Chance McClure both proceeded to hit back-to-back run scoring doubles, Penn State Mont Alto led 6-0 after two innings of play. Penn State Mont Alto scored five runs in the third and added another in the fifth to take a 12-0 advantage. Alexander Morales scored Frederick Allen on a sacrifice fly to put the visitors on the board in the top of the sixth inning. Bucks County C.C. scored their second run on a passed ball in the top of the sixth inning.
