Game 1: Penn State Mont Alto 9, Central Penn College 4

Game Story

  • Shais Roman's double helped Central Penn jump out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. In the bottom of the 2nd, Penn State Mont Alto's offense came alive. They scored four runs in the inning on five hits. Zane Mack scored Jonathan Lentvorsky on a RBI single for the team's first run. Darian Mort scored two on his RBI single. Jared Pine tripled later in the inning, plating Mort to give Penn State Mont Alto a 4-2 lead following two innings of play.

 

 

  • Penn State Mont Alto added on two more runs the following inning, taking a 9-4 advantage to the last inning. Hayden Kissel doubled and Jarrett Goodyear recorded a RBI single in the inning.

Game Story

  • The Penn State Mont Alto offense only mustered three hits in the second game of the doubleheader, scoring one run. Jarrett Goodyear responded to an early Central Penn run by recording a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first, scoring Tyler Moreland

 

  • Steven Armstrong took Penn State Mont Alto starter Luke Michaels deep for a solo home run in the 4th inning, giving the Knights a 2-1 lead

 

  • Central Penn College added three insurance runs in the top half of the seventh inning, pushing the lead to 5-1. Shais Roman scored Adam Hoover on a RBI single. Steven Armstrong also recorded a RBI hit in the inning
