Following an initial run from Penn State Mont Alto in the bottom of the first on a Caiden Smith sacrifice fly, both teams went scoreless until the top of the seventh inning. Cory Lehman flied out to center field for the first out of the inning for DuBois. Elijah Snyder would walk Tanner LaBenne on the following at-bat and Grant Lilliard recorded a hit on the next at-bat. LaBenne was thrown out trying to get back to second base following a huge turn. A Jared Pine error plated Bryce Dobson as DuBois took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the seventh inning. Gavin Kissel pinch hit and led off the inning with a base hit to second base. Following a Kyle McKeon sacrifice bunt, Jared Pine was intentionally walked to set up first and second with one away. Brady Bigler loaded the bases on his infield single to third base. On the next batter, Blake Orndorff tied the game with a sacrifice fly to right field and Brady Bigler was tagged out trying to advance to second to force the contest to extra innings.

Reliever Luke Davis retired the top part of the order to push the game to the bottom of the eighth inning. Caiden Smith and Tyler Moreland each recorded outs as Mont Alto faced its final out. In the following at-bat on a 2-1 count, Michael Scott recorded his second walk off in 10 days as he hit a home run over the right field fence to clinch the series sweep of Penn State DuBois by a final of 3-2.
